Hi everyone!
I finally found some time to upload a few pictures of the fair Creativa Valencia.
It took place last weekend (from 19th to 21st April 2013) and I must say it was a fantastic experience.
I already made some classes to teach origami, but I never made a show in a fair before. I really had a lot of fun! But I finished with some wounds in my mouth because of speaking too much!!! There were a lot of people and everybody wanted to learn, so I have to admit that I had an easy crowd.
The worse part of visiting a fair from the inside is that I barely had time to see it. In the three days I couldn't see all the stands (and it wasn't that big). Finally, on Sunday, I found some time to buy a pair of die-cutters and that was all, but I would repeat the experience without any doubt.
I'd like to thank Isa Lozano, from Papel de Lunares, for putting me in touch with he peolpe from Aladine; to Frederique, one of the partners of Aladine, who treated me and Silvia perfectly; to Silvia, form Artesascrap, my fairmate, with whom I had a great time; to my other Silvia, my blogmate, for visiting me in the fair and giving me support; and to Iva, from Scrap i Pebre, for putting Isa in touch with me.

I decided to upload a card per week (at least). I know it's not a big deal, but if we count the sleeping time, the time to socialise with friends, the working time (I have 2 jobs), etc... there isn't much time left to do Scrap. I still have some cards of my beginnings to upload, so that allows me to have a lazy week every now and then. XD
This card is also one of my first cards. I recently discovered the embossing technique, so all 4 stamps are embossed with clear powder. The flight of the butterflies is done with some glitter pens I found in a Chinese bazaar many time ago and I didn't used until then. Now I find it very simple, but then I didn't have patterned paper either... nor I used to put sentiments on the front of the card.

This is the minialbum I made after the classes. I bought a Stack of My Mind's Eye (29th Street Market) because I loved the papers (They imitate courtains and upholstery), but I don't know how to use them. I find boring everything I make with them. I guess that having chosen blue cardstock as background doesn't help. I improved it using travel stamps from Aladine, but I still don't really like it much. I put 2 trifolds in this mini, so there's room for 8 pictures. I gladly accept ideas for improving it.

A couple of days ago my sister saw a postbox on the internet and asked me to make one for her. So I started surfing the internet and found it in Piensascrap, where there's a competition to make a postbox with the love or friendship theme. Now I find myself participating in my second competition, but the postbox is for my sister, so I changed the theme a bit for a Spring theme. Although it didn't change a lot, because Spring is the season of love.

The front part is embossed manually with a Fiskars' Plate with motives of flowers and butterlfies on a pink cardstock, the yellow border is cut with a Fiskars' Punch too.
In the back I used the same pink cardstock without embossing, but embellished with a small bird, grass and a flower that imitates the ones in the pattern of the body.
Finally, the flag is decorated with another bird tweeting, like if it was telling you when post has arrived when you raise the flag.
I put 3 paper roses made of origami that matched perfectly the theme.
Everything quite simple, without a lot of ornaments. I thought the patterned paper its enough decorative by itself.

¡Me encanta!
This is the first minialbum I made. It's the result of my first Scrap Class in Scrap i Pebre. It holds a few photos, in this one theres room for 6 of them, but it's the perfect present to put the pictures of a special day in.
I love it! It's so easy that it's perfect! It's made of 2 heavy cardstock, 3 overlayed sheets of cardboard and patterned paper. The trifold is closed with a lace because I had no velcro then, and the minialbum is closed with 2 little pieces of rubber-band in the bottom and 2 brads on top.

Mi segunda tarjeta
Toca empezar a subir tarjetas.
It's time to upload cards. I started in the Scrap world because of them. I always had some stamps and inks and, one day, I decided to make a birthday card by myself. I liked the result and wanted to do some more cards. I don't have pictures of my first card, but this is the second one I made. You will see all of them are quite simple and naive, but I still like them. This one is made with stamps from Aladine's cubes (really cheap) and metallic blue embossing powder, a piece of blue ribbon and another stamp hidding the awful knot made with the two pieces of ribbon. That's why you see it raised. That's all. And, of course, it's all in blue, my favourite colour, and the most difficult colour to find in the scrap world. I'll briefly upload some more of my rookie cards.

I made this card for the competition in Papel de Lunares. It's my first competition!
To make the card you need to put stripes of paper or washi tape, an embellisment and a sentiment.
I made stripes of ripped paper and put them on corrugated cardboard. I also distressed the borders with Distress Ink (Tea Dye). For the embellishment I used a white cardboard coloured with Distress Ink (Tea Dye). In another cardboard I stamped the picture and cut out the borders of the cage to make the shadow with Distress Ink (Vintage Photo). When dry, I applied the stamp with white ink and embossed with white powder. I rounded the corners and glued onto a darker brown cardboard with rounded corners as well. The sentiment is a Sizzix Die-Cut on black cardboard glued with a loooot of patience. I like a lot the result. Congratulations, Isa, for the third anniversary of your blog. I hope to be as persevering as you are.

I went to Barcelona this weekend and I went to Scrap classes with Isa from Papel de Lunares. We made a Romantic Mini Album and I'm very happy with the result. I had a lot of fun too! I made Isa a bit dizzy because in the original album there were some very nice stamps, but they didn't fit with me, and she was searching around for a couple of different stamps to substitute the original ones. Besides, I met two girls (I think they were called Aurora and Evelin) who told me about a pair of Scrap shops in Barcelona that are great. And I later found them in one of the shops they told me. (Scrap world is tiny. Still.)
I leave you now with the pictures of the mini. I still have to put pictures in, so it isn't totally finished, but I really like how it looks like.
Perdón por la calidad de las fotos. Aún estoy haciendo pruebas.
Sorry for the quality of the pictures. I'm still testing.

Cajitas con cajones
¡Hola!
Soy Salva.
Hi!
It's Salva. And I use for the first time the blog.
Here are a pair of boxes with two drawers that I did a few weeks before for some friends. They are made of cardstock covered with printed paper and decorated with stamps. In one of them I used the same starry paper from the bottom to embellish the box. I like it, but it didn't result as nice as I expected, but that's the price of being a rookie and trying new things.
I made a few more things since theese two boxes were made, but I'll upload the pictures in the following days...
